About Camino Healthcare

Camino Healthcare Limited provides residential care to people with complex mental health conditions. The company provides a safe environment for them and gives care and support to enable them to return to the community as and when appropriate.

It employs almost 300 people across four sites, including care staff, bank staff, housekeeping, kitchen, administration, psychology and management teams.

The Challenge

Before implementing RotaOne, the company relied on manual timesheets. The team did not feel they were accurate enough, believing they were open to manipulation, and timesheets could also be mislaid, resulting in numerous pay queries each month.

The team wanted a system that displayed staff rotas, accurately recorded when people arrived and left, ensured staff were paid correctly, and provided reporting to monitor.

Implementation

To ensure everything was working as expected, RotaOne was run alongside the existing manual timesheet process for several months. This allowed any differences to be identified and resolved before going live, giving the team confidence that there should not be any pay queries.

The Results

Since implementing RotaOne, Camino Healthcare has confidence that staff are paid accurately for the hours they work. Pay queries have reduced significantly, and the management team now spend far less time administering payroll.
